About RiverQuestRiverQuest's mission is to connect people to their environment through river education adventures.RiverQuest provides exceptional river-based educational adventure programs for students, teachers and community. "Tell me, I'll forget; Show me, I might remember; Involve me, I'll understand" continues as the RiverQuest maxim. The Programs on the water utilize hands-on approaches and technology to further the development of critical thinking skills, technological literacy and environmental stewardship. RiverQuest's program and vision has expanded to include all of the Ohio Valley. In addition to serving southwestern Pennsylvania, RiverQuest's goal in the years ahead is to provide programming for schools, universities and the public in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. RiverQuest is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and staffed by professionals, interns and volunteers. RiverQuest receives advice and assistance from an Advisory Committee comprised of community leaders from corporations, government and non-profit organizations. In addition to program fees, RiverQuest programs are supported by contributions from foundations, corporations, government agencies and individuals.
